Aunt Amy Takes us on a tour of our town
June took us around the Dallas area like we haven't done so often, and Aunt Amy as a Travel Agent is the reason we suddenly had places to go that she only could have convinced some of us more inclined to stay near by, to go among germs and heat like the desert as our surroundings.
We went from dinosaur foot prints, to giraffes in Fort Worth, to waterslides, picking berries, and sleepovers that kept kids eyes drooping, and moods even more slippery; but leaving everyone ready for their next vacation that the travel agent has to plan.
I had to hop on board the travel agent train of thinking quickly as Amy left and plan some things for just our regular Pack crew and so Amy left a piece of her ways in Texas with me, that I can give back to her next time she comes.

Ten-years Old
Will turned ten-years old! The past two years Will has had the chance to have his cousin that is his age ( Wynne ) , at his birthday parties, and coming all the way from Oregon, that's a big blessing!
The other chance of Will's life that made his birthday exciting was Uncle Allen's family coming in town to celebrate Will, and see Aunt Amy and her family .
It's been an unusual time with Covid-19, but Will was in luck because the restaurants and Main Event opened up right before his birthday party!
Will chose to have a family party rather than friend party, and Apollo is like brother to Will so of course he joined!

Oh thank Heaven for Grandpa at 7-11
Only 10 people in the world-wide company of 7-11 have a gold 7-11 ring with diamond that was rewarded to Allen Pack, and the only person in the company whom worked for them for forty-years, started as a graveyard cashier in training to be a store manager, and climbed the corporate ladder all the way to Division Vice President is my Dad, Allen Pack. After forty years he is now retired, but the implementations he made will last, and the impression he made on all of his kids; being a corporate leader while never ignoring a phone call from one of his family, is everlasting.

Morning prayer on Will's celebration
Will celebrated his tenth birthday last weekend with my brother ( Uncle Allen ) and his family, and my little sister (Aunt Amy) and her family. Even though it was Wills celebration, there were moments that I was just as excited and blessed as the birthday boy.
It was the morning of going to play laser tag and Will had Apollo, Wynne, and Landon spend the night at our house. We were able to meet Grandpa Pack, Uncle Andy ( Amy's husband ) and Uncle Allen at the Main Event, that luckily opened just the day before, after months of being closed because of Covid; as Dad Turano gathered up stuff and headed to the car, I felt so blessed because I was able to call all these boys together, and seeing such blessed boys stand together ready to pray, I knew I needed to ask them to kneel with me in recognition of how blessed we are to have Jesus Christ and the ordinances of His Gospel, and the chance to live in the fullness of times. As they knelt in a circle, I received the present on Will's birthday, to see them in faith together on knees, and to hear Landon, the oldest of them all ( I asked to pray ) show forth example to the younger ones. My gift from my Savior is certainly Will on his birthday, but it felt multiplied in that moment I was blessed to call them together in my love for Our Heavenly Father and His Son; to give them worship and glory in what has been given us.
Will,
The night of your sleep over and after prayer, you eagerly ran to the other room and grabbed the statute of Peter holding the keys that are spoken of in Matthew 16: 18-19, as I asked you to share that scripture that you are memorizing.
. You wanted to make sure that your friends knew exactly what to picture as you recited the scripture and explained the " keys " that Peter was given are the Priesthood or authority to perform ordinances of God, like baptism. You explained that keys are given to the person who owns something, though they can make copies, it is special to have them and they are kept track of.
You have a great love for the gospel Will, and I know because you smile when you watch church videos with me, and you do not hesitate to pray in front of even those who don't believe as you do.
You ask me everyday if I am your friend Will. You even ask after I say yes, if I will always be your best friend? Now when you don't ask me, I tell you, " You are my best friend Will and I will always be with you. " I know you have a heart that loves Will, and when anyone spends time with you, they can see they are lucky to be around such a giving, kind hearted, and fact filled boy. I love you Will and I am sure if you want to work for NASA like you say that you want to, you will be able to!!!

May
A few weekends ago Brooke asked me why I was carrying the gift that she gave me for Mother's Day and my birthday, with me in my purse wherever I went. I told her it was one of the best presents I had ever received and let me know how much she loved me and just seeing it made me feel grateful for her. I also said I had to bring it with me until I had it documented in hers and Will's books.
Brooke,
The gift you made me not only shows me that you love me, when some times I am not sure as you are now a teenager, but it is also a great show of how aware, thoughtful, and intelligent that you are.
I don't think I have ever seen a young woman your age more able to know and produce something exactly perfect of what her Mother would want and the things you said you love about me will always be a reminder to me, of how incredible of a daughter that you are.
Brooke, You often arrange, plan, and step up when I ask you to and you impress me at everything you do that you put in effort. You have no idea what kind of woman you are going to blossom into that will be a blessing to all who you serve and especially your future family.
