Big Boy with a Big Heart

Will was thrilled to be going back to school this week. Will understands that making it through the summer and back to school just means that he is getting bigger and older, like his big sister whom he tells me, " Ask Brooke, she knows everything. "

Will has been teasing his sister a lot and I keep telling her that it is just because he loves her and wants her attention.

I was proven right that Will really learns and follows Brooke often these past few weeks.

When I had been running one day, I came home to find Will ( A babysitter was there bur said she had nothing to do with it ), sitting in the corner, watching Bible videos made by the church, for adults. The language in these videos comes straight from the New Testament, so I was impressed when Will started telling me about each scripture account that he had watched.

Later that day Will said, " Mommy, I really want to help the poor people but I don't know how to? "

Will nudged me to take action on a project that I had might not otherwise figured out how to help with, since I missed the training held which was required.

Will inspired me to take action and we were able to go help some refugees that had just left their homes and I was able to help teach English to some kind Muslims, while Will and Brooke played with their children.

After our meeting with the refugees was over and we were taking them home, we were invited into the home and this sweet lady insisted on cooking and feeding me, although she had hardly anything to her ownership.

To my surprise Will started taking pictures of me at the table she sat me down at and when I got after him for using my phone, he said, " Mommy, I just thought you might want to remember this." He was right because it was special and he helped me experience that special service and Afgan sister of mine.

Today, on the way home from his school as we drove to get Brooke, Will said, " Mommy, I have something that I have to do in my life." Will was very serious and I held back my smile and said, " Really, what is it? "

He said, " I am going to become the President of our country, so that I can help the poor people. You see what I will do is get everyone in every city who votes be people who believe in Jesus, and then when I say we are going to help the poor, they will help me, because they believe in Jesus."

It was the sweetest thought from a seven-year old whom instead of thinking of being a famous Rockstar ir Extreme Bike Rider, or such; was thinking instead about how he could gain power to help the poor!

I am not sure I should share this with his Dad whom is a Libertarian, and thinks government should stay out of these things, haha 😂 but, I think Will has shown his big heart and even if he is getting bigger and he is so proud for that, I am proud of his good ambitions and desires.

I love you my little prince Will! 💝 You would make a very righteous President and maybe, you might be the first one to make Utopia work? Or maybe, you will be the next Enoch that leads a whole city to God? 😉 No matter what you do, you will always follow the prophets and Our Savior, Jesus Christ, that I know....
