My pumpkin Brooke

Brooke,

You came home from school a few days ago and you told us lots of stories about your work and we love hearing those, but it was not until hours later that you said at about 10pm, you know, " I had to put this kid in recovery position today Mom! And I sent someone to get the AED. "

We were like, " What?! You were the first to respond to an emergency and you didn't say that when you walked in the door?! That's amazing! They are lucky you were there. "

I think you might be so used to hearing about emergency response and it is just the daily conversation in our house and so, you didn't think it was a big deal that YOU were the only one who knew what to do when a classmate collapsed in your class. Your teacher actually left the room to go get someone Brooke! Good thing you were there to turn this unconscious boy on his side in case he started vomiting, so he wouldn't aspirate. You told a classmate to get the AED and you told me that you were looking for his respiration and finding a pulse. I had my proud teacher moment for a Mom, even though you didn't realize how everyone sat there unresponsive and you being there actually helped the other kids feel better too!

You are working so hard at so many things Brooke! Too many things! But, you are blessing those around you with your brilliance and bubbly personality as people call you.

Your work loves you being there, and you are doing make up for a local movie that is being made by The National Performance Academy, plus your own school theater productions teacher personally told me how much you help her in getting ready for their upcoming play,       ( not to mention you help her with her auditing reports ).

You were responsible for sewing costumes for the play and you are

doing a lot of sewing at home!

I am so grateful for any time that we get with you since you area so busy! We enjoyed going to a Pumpkin Patch with you recently and you liked holding the baby goat and playing in a rolling tube with your brother.
