It was fun to see the mechanical dinosaurs while getting to each animal habitat at the Hogle Zoo. We learned about the dinosaurs in between animals, so it was a double dose of excitement!
If you notice Will in the show, you will quickly see that he was not hesitant to jump up and get a close look at the millipede. I think all of our animal encounters that we take the kids on have made Will think that you get to touch every animal!
Brooke's favorite animal was the owl. Brooke loves owls because Harry Potter has one ;) Grandma and Grandpa bought her, her very own stuffed owl to take home in memory of going to the zoo that they took her mom to when she was little.
Will's favorite animal was turtles! Of all the animals Will could have chosen to ride on the merry go around, he chose the turtle!!!! Will also really enjoyed seeing the big bugs dead and behind glass. Will has always had a love for bugs! I wonder why he wasn't sad they were dead? I guess these were the hugest bugs he had probably ever seen! Will kept asking Grandma Pack, " Are these real or are these plastic bugs? "
